The Year That Was
I love, love, love 2005 because…
(In no particular order)
- Nico & I represented the Philippines in the Hong Kong Shopper of The Year Contest!
- We got lots of cool stuff from the said contest, and coverage din, esp. in Inquirer’s 2bu! Thanks Pam!
- I got to go to Bora w/ Nico & friends.. finally! Haha.. after years of paalam!
- I graduated from Ateneo! BS MCT! Yahoo! Batch 2005!
- I finally enrolled in a gym, after years of saying I would!
- I got to spend a lot of time w/ Nico
- I got to go to Club Noah, Palawan w/ my family & Nico.. definitely one of the best vacations ever!
- I got to enjoy the UAAP Season! Although I miss dancing during halftimes, it was definitely fun to be a spectator this year!
- Diorelle & Ton got married in a beautiful wedding ceremony!
- My good friend Sabbie, got engaged!
- Sab & I were able to join Ama Mall, a promise we made during college (That if we were both still here in 2005, we would share a stall!)
- I got to go to Taiwan and see the tallest building in the world, Tower 101! And of course, the shopping
- I got to go to Bangkok for 4 days and do only one thing: SHOP!
- I got to spend a lot of time with my parents.. And this is the year where I truly appreciated them both.. I love you mommy & daddy
- Of my new MAC make-up collection! Gave away all my makeup in exchange for these goodies
- I was a bridesmaid at my cousin’s wedding in Cebu
- My cousins & I bonded in Plantation Bay, Cebu
- I was able to write about Fashion for a mobile company
- I quit working at Adidas.. after only 4 days! Hahaha.. I consider my resignation as a Christmas Gift to myself ;p
- I turned a year older last December 11! A day of good food & good company. Thank babe
- I spent a lot of time with my ate, Mama Jo
- I was able to go to my first bachelorette party! And saw my first male stripper! Haha!
- Teia!
- I was able to spend a lot of time with my girls.. from sleepovers, videoke nights, gym, swimming at Esh’s, bashing, eating, movies, roadtrip to alabang to visit El, etc. etc.
- My Kuya won Nu 107’s bassist of the year.. again! Yabang! ;p
- My mom gave me an ipod mini! Hehe
- I enjoyed so much freedom! No pressure from work nor school.
- I got to spend a lot of time with my loved ones
- Of Nico. ‘Nuff said!
- Of my other boy, Harry Potter! Half-blood Prince was definitely good, cannot wait for the last one! And the movie, Oh my, Danielle Radcliffe, I heart you!
- Everything about it made me ME.
Wow, I didn’t even notice that this list is quite long na! I just read them all again, & it has definitely put a smile on my face. Not only did it made me reminisce about the good times, but it has also made me more aware of the blessings that have come my way. And I don’t mean just the tangible things.. but the love that I have felt from my significant other, from my family, and from my friends. Ü
I hope you all had a good one this year! And may 2006 be a blast for all of us! Ü
As for me, I know that 2006 would definitely test my strengths, because the big move is only a couple of months away! Waaaah!!
