Missing In Action
Blame my absence for 3 Weeks on:
1. The UAAP Basketball!! Ü
This has got to be the busiest season for me! Now that I am no longer w/ Babble, I actually have to come up w/ my tickets to the games on my own! Well, the same is true w/ my constant companions, Nico, Chachi & Anchot. We never really realized how easy it was for us to enter Araneta before when we were part of Babble. Now, we had to line up for ourselves (as early as 6am! *gasp*) or buy from scalpers (who gave extremely ridiculous prices! *gasp*), shelling out money that we never did before. Hahaha! Ü
ADMU VS UP:
Aaron Vicencio (My friend & fave photographer!), sandwiched in between me & Chachi

Best game ever! Hahaha!! Ü At 1st we only had Upper A tickets, then Jep gave us Lowerbox Tickets, then Chachi gave us Patron seats.. all for free! Yahoo! Haha.. Cheap thrills sobra! Ü

ADMU VS DLSU: 2 games down the drain! Boohoo! :( The team always seems to choke everytime they face the La Salle team. But 2 things stood out for me last Sept. 25:
1. LA's amazing performance! Galing mo talaga! Ü
2. This annoying cheerleader from La Salle. Her moves were all over the place! Ask Chachi! We actually couldn't believe she was dancing like that! You wouldn't miss her, she's the tall girl who's always in the middle of the formation. Hahaha.. I'm bad, I know! I've always adored the La Salle Pep, 'coz they dance well & look cute too, BUT now, w/ the exception of this girl na lang. Haha.. *mean girls*
ADMU VS UE: Went home after this game with 4 tubes of Close-up Toothpaste, 1 bottle of Listerine, 1 toothbrush & a can of Valda Pastilles. Hahaha! Ü Nico & I were the Close-up couple of the game (Which he absolutely hated.. Hehe) & Chach & I were 2 of the fresh faces of the game. Crazy sponsors Ü

NOW I miss going to the games! And eating Wendy's! And corn! And fries! And watching w/ Nico, Chachi & Anchot! And seeing Patching everywhere! Hehehe! Ü
2. UAAP CHEER COMP
Nico, Chach, & I went to the Cheer rally for a preview of the routine of the girls. They really improved, plus the stunts were really good. Fast forward to 2 days, and we have seen that ALL the squads have improved! Galing! But, I would have given the 1st place to UP. They were REALLY GREAT this year. Ü And it was great seeing all former Babble cheerleaders there! We all stayed in one section of the lowerbox. Sayang, Karen (former captain, 2002) wasn't there! I gave the news to all that she was in HK Disneyland. Haha.. lucky girl! Ü

3. DATING AROUND Ü
Haha.. Not that kind of dating around!! What I meant was, aside from my dates with Nico, I also went out w/ my close friend Sab! Ü Last week, Shang was our date place. Today, we went to Galleria. I had lots of fun going around & shopping w/ her. We love checking out stores & trying out clothes, plus eating lunch while catching up w/ each other. I love it how we are both the same. Our love for anything girly, fashion, cleaning our stuff & room etc.. & how we can both be drama queens, and tamad queens when it comes to school etc. hehe Ü Cant wait for our next date sabbie! Ü

I also went out my myself! Haha!! I went to Eastwood, had a foot & hand spa & massage, ate chips & nuts, plus watched Perfect Catch. It was my first time to watch a movie by myself, & it felt weird, yet nice at the same time. Haha.. but I would have preferred to have Nico around with me. Ü
4. GYM, WORK & ERRANDSJust random stuff thats been keeping me busy:
1. Gym a few days a week (I love latin aero! woohoo!! Samba & mambo, aero style! Ü)
2. Finished InStyle for Smart for another month (Yes, I do have work you know.. Haha.. Part-time work, full -time pay.. Woohoo!!) Ü
3. Did errands for my parents, & finally! I'm able to clean up my room! All the stuff I've bought from my trips have amazingly fit in my closets.. although I have weeded out quite a lot na rin.. which I'll sell online or in bazaars or through friends. Bili kayo ha!! Ü Haha.. Ü

FRIENDSTER FRAUD
Okay, so imagine my surprise when I searched my name in Friendster, just to see if someone else had the same name as mine. And there was 2! One was a real person talaga, but the other one, nakakainis!! She used my name, my profile, my pictures, my captions! Grrr!!! So pls, if you have a Friendster account, search my name and click on that biyatch & msg her why the hell she is using my name & everything! Hello!! I mean, friends ko ba si Mark Herras & Hero Angeles?!?!?!

AND IT KEEPS ON POURING IN
So its been a while since the HK Shopper of the Year Contest, but news articles about us participating in it are still coming out in different publications. The most recent one is in the September Issue of Celebrity Recipes Plus Home & Gardens.

We're actually on the same page w/ Thom & Kyan! Hahaha!!

But please.. ang pangit ng picture ha! Kung pwede lang, binigyan ko kayo ng own pics namin! Hahaha!! The ones that came out in other papers were decent naman, but nothing beats out the super spreadsheet coverage that Pam wrote in Inquirer's 2bu! The best ka talaga PAM!!! Ü

Bangkok High
Even if its already been 3 days since I've been back, I'm still pretty much tired from my trip to Bangkok. Well, you would be too, if you only had one itinerary. In my case, it was SHOPPING!!!! Ü
No kidding! For 4 days & 3 nights, that was the only thing my mom & I did (Well, aside from eating of course!). After checking in our hotel last tuesday, my mom & I, together w/ my dad & Tita Imping (Ate Elaine's mom) , made our way to the commercial centers surrounding our hotel. Omg, I just love our hotel's location! All we had to do was walk down from our hotel, and then there they were! The wonderful sights of street markets, malls, & other shopping places greeting our very eyes! Woohoo! Ü
For the 2ndday, my mom & I opted not to join the city tour anymore, because the memories of the soccer playing elephants, sleeping buddha, golden buddha etc. were still fresh in our memories from our last trip here. So with my dad resting & doing paperwork back at the hotel room, & Tita Imping joining the other tourists, my mom & I went on with our itinerary.
Our shopping essentials:
1. Biyahera bag - So we can just dump all our shopping bags inside!
2. Stroller - yes, a stroller!!! Haha!!! I felt like a gradeschool kid! But this helped a lot when the biyahera bag was too heavy to carry na.
3. Sling bag - so that you're arms & hands would be free to search good finds ;p
4. Tank top - Its sooo hot there!!!
5. Havaianas - For blister free feet, even after hours of non-stop walking. Ü
Modeling our shopping essentials. We were able to fill up the big biyahera bag in just a few hours.. Ü

The 3rd day was the most tiring part for me. 'Coz while my dad presided over a conference (He is the Chairman of the Far East Working Group, formed by different drug enforcement agencies across Asia. It is his 2nd year as elected chairman already, and I'm sooo proud of you daddy!!!), my mom & I did what we did best the whole day. Yes, it was yet another shopping day! Hahaha!! Ü
We had dinner that night with the head of the Drug Enforcement Agency in Bangkok at a yummy Chinese Resto. After a hurried dinner, (Hahaha.. 'coz they all knew that we wanted to check out another night bazaar), we quickly went back to the hotel to change clothes.
But not before I had my pic taken with the hotel's lounge performer's. Ü

I thought that that was our last shopping trip, but NO!! The morning before our flight, we had a little over an hour to spare, and that was when the last of my Baht had gone. Hahaha.. nagshopping pa rin kami. Ü
Want some proof? ;p

Pic of some of the stuff I bought, the rest are nasa laundry na.. Hehehe... Ü

Haaay... Ü
During the wedding vows, I couldn't help but get teary-eyed when the bride & groom were saying their own pieces. Especially when the bride almost couldn't continue saying her vow.. because she got so choked up with her emotions. And that got all of us very emotional! Everyone could really feel the love that those two shared.
Maybe that was why I felt tears in my eyes. The thing is, I haven't even met Anne until after the wedding! You see, Anne & her mom moved to London when her parents separated (Her dad is my daddy's brother). I haven't even seen her EVER, until her wedding day. Although she already got married in London last February, she wanted to go back to her roots & also get married here in the Philippines, in the presence of all her Filipino relatives.
Even though I don't know anything about her at all (All I know is that she has the nicest accent!! Inggit!! Haha!!), I can say that I am very happy for them. I was also touched when her husband told everyone, during a toast, about how lucky he was to find the most beautiful, amazing and loving person, and how grateful he was that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. It wasn't really the words he said that got me, but it was how he so lovingly said all of that to his wife. Haaay.. Ü
The bridesmaids: Gigay, Me, Ate Elaine & Ate JD Ü

The next day, my cousins & I spent the day atPlantation Bay . We had lotsa fun being camera whores, swimming, & stuffing ourselves w/ fruit shakes & fries, plus our heavy heavy lunch. It was such a relaxing day. I absolutely love going to the beach, and would never pass up the chance of spending a day in one. Although it was just a pseudo-beach ('Coz it was man-made), their fresh-water pools, slides & jacuzzis more than made up for it! Ü
What made the day even more special, was that I got the chance to spend time with my cousins, who I only get to really bond with about once in year (Either in Cebu or Bohol, where our dad's are from). They are really busy people! With Ate Elaine graduating from UST Med. School in March, Ate JD a licensed nurse already, & Gigay a graduating nursing student, their chosen profession really takes so much of their time. I liked at how different their course is from mine, 'coz I was so interested & curious with how it is to work in the Medicine field. I knew growing up that I had no interest to be a Doctor or a Nurse. I don't know why, ayoko lang talaga. Maybe the pressure of handling a person's life is too much to bear for little ol' me. That's why I find their stories so amazing, like how Ate Elaine has already delivered so many babies by herself, how Ate Jd has reviewed for her bar exam, how long Gigay has duty at the hospital etc. etc. Amazing lang tlga.. I'm so proud of you guys.. ang galing niyo Ü
Great place, amazing people, & good food, what more can you ask for? Ü Haaay.. Ü
(Well, I would have loved to have Nico with me at that time, and sama mo na rin the chix.. hehehe..) Ü
My milkshake is better than yours..

Haaaay.. Ü
