Time For A Break
I just suddenly felt like it was time to take a break. I can't imagine myself being in this kind of situation before.. but even I had to admit that there are times when enough is already enough. I feel so tired everytime I do it. It consumes my energy, as well as my time. Although I could say no and refuse to do the deed, I really couldn't muster up the courage to do so. The temptation is just too strong for me.. and the gratifying feeling afterwards is unimagineable. Haay..
Ang hirap talaga maging shopaholic!
BUT.. enough is enough! I am officially on a shopping strike!
What made me decide to do this? Well, I just checked my planner kanina.. and I was shocked that within the last 2 weeks, or 14 days, I have spent 7 days shopping! I quickly calculated the amount that I have spent.. and lets just say I was shocked at how I spent it all! And it wasn't even shopping for a shirt here and there.. but as in shopping spree talaga. No wonder my bum money has dwindled drastically! Haay.. I'd better start job hunting soon.. But the thing is, I don't want to work yet! I don't even know if I'll still work here sa Pinas.. Haaay.. (More on that next post... puro babaw stuff muna now). So basically, I'm living a shopaholic bum's life.. Thank God for my parents and my Smart project! Haha.. Ü

Huling Hirit
Even though its very obvious that it is the rainy season once again, it didn't stop us from having our one last summer hurrah. After working hours last Friday, Nico & I went with the H bench to Tagaytay. We stayed at Ana's place in Highlands (Thanks again Ana! Ü). The view was amazing.. it was the perfect setting for a steady night of drinks, food, card games and kwentuhan. After a few hours of sleep (due to the never-ending kwentuhans, courtesy of Jecky.. Hehe.. and the kakulitan ng mga lasing.. another hehe), we headed to Punta Fuego! Yehey! Although I wasn't too thrilled to don a bikini (after months of pigging out and no exercise :( ), the water was just too hard to resist! I spent the whole time at the pool with Nico. Haay.. it felt so nice to just relax in the water.. Ü I wish I had a place there.. Hindi na ko uuwi non! Ü Pics will soon follow.. was way too relaxed to even bother to take pictures, so ill just wait for the pics of the other H people. Ü
* Thanks to Jecky for planning the trip! Ü Thanks to Ana for the place! Ü Thanks to Madette for cooking yummy eggs for breakfast! Ü Thanks to Barbie for picking me up and taking me home! Ü Thanks to Nico for everything! hehe Ü

Some insights:
While we were taking in the view of Tagaytay from Ana's terrace, Nico & I couldnt' help but talk about how the Philippines is so divided. Being in places like these would really make you wonder how some people can afford to live in such lavish ways, while some people barely have the money to get through a single day. Mas lalo kong nakita at naramdaman kung gaano talaga kalaki ang pagkakaiba ng buhay ng mga taong kabilang sa magka-bilang social class. I felt bad in a way, because I know that with just one pine tree from Highlands, it would already be enough to support an underpriveleged family. Siguro exag yun or something, but heck, the wood that was used to build the houses there were even imported from abroad! Imagine how much the total expense of a place like that would cost? Now, its not that I am judging those who are able to afford such lifestyles, nor am I being a hypocrite and saying that I don't dream of owning a place like that (because I would love to have a place like that).. All im saying is, I feel really awful when I think about our less fortunate kababayans.. lalo na those who don't even have a place of their own. I even find the situation like its one evil joke. I mean, how can places like that still exist in this supposedly 3rd world country, with bad economy and all that? Papaano ito na-mamaintain? It just goes to show that even though there are millions of citizens here in the Philippines, sa kaunting tao lamang talaga umiikot ang pera.
